Overview

A baby misc challenge with no attachment. The title is the whole hint: the flag is on the competition's own rules page.

Solution

The rules page has a section on flag format. It states that flags normally look like TFCCTF{anything_goes_here} and gives a worked example, and that example string is itself the challenge flag:

Opening the rules page was enough to flip RULES to solved on the dashboard; the account total moved from 229 points / 1 flag to 357 points / 2 flags.

Rules worth remembering for the rest of the CTF

  • Flags are TFCCTF{...} unless a challenge says otherwise.
  • The Open division allows unrestricted AI use.
  • The Classic division allows only light AI assistance, no delegating the actual solving.
  • Both divisions share one prize scoreboard; the per-division boards are only for comparison within a division.
